Pontiac owned the personal luxury segment during that era. Only issue for me was that the horsepower rating on the stock 400 engine went from 350 to 200 as economy concerns became more or an issue

I guess I’m like a lot of others when it comes to Chrysler, back then looked at Chrysler as the number 3 and they were ok but now looking back at them they are very elegant and they have powerful engines and smooth rides. Sounds great too

worst camera work ever.....waves the camera around like a top, doesn't edit, wont stop talking or should we say babbling, and we never slowed down to actually see a car in detail. A grade school kid could do better than this waste of time. HORRIBLE

I love the Andy griffith show! I've seen just about every episode of the black and white seasons on MeTv! I love the inclusions of the the fishing poles and the Aunt Bee picnic basket, great touch's👌. I've always loved vintage police cars, they just have a charm to them. The old mars light and that classic siren sound just brings out my inner kid! This I love even more it being an Andy Griffith show car! I'm you Lou with hearing that Barney Fife theme seeing it drive as well as hearing him hollering "Mayberry unit 1" over the radio 🤣. Great video Lou!

Hello Lou! The paint code on the firewall plate is 1-1 which means the top was painted the same color as the body. The only option was the roof could also come in white. Paint color 1 is noted as Green Mist. The big canister in the fender is a vacuum reserve as it helped the vacuum-powered wiper motor. I have owned a 66R 2-door Century for 22 years. Mine is Blue Mist with 135K on the odo. So few of these still exist and they're a joy to drive. Very much the conversation starter at my local car shows.

Fantastic video! Great car. This is only one of many cars used on the show. The cars were provided by Ford, and the car used was from the current model year for the season being filmed. The show ran from October 3, 1960, to April 1, 1968. I don't know if they had an episode using the patrol car in every season, but I do remember seeing a 61, 63, and a 64 on the show as well as this 62. It would be quite a collection if someone were to obtain a car from each year. However, I doubt all of them still exist.
